English Onstage teaches language skills through this exciting theatre experience
A dynamic new approach to learning English is underway with classes at the learning centers in Yangon and at the regional centers.
English Onstage engages students in dramatic on-stage dialogue and story telling. In workshops students tell their stories, and work collaboratively on theatrical projects. Emphasis is on offering an enjoyable way to learn English.
Joshua McCarey, founder of English Onstage, has worked in theater education for more than a decade. He has developed this curriculum for teaching English through drama. As he works with the students and teachers in Myanmar, we will be acquiring a curriculum they can use for future classes. Special sessions of these workshops are open to all students in the community.
